DARomizer is a traffic cop that manages both DAR (to build slices) and growisofs (to burn each slice to a cd or dvd). DARomizer allows both programs to run in parallel; while one slice is being burned to the media by growisofs, the next slice is being prepared by DAR. This results in a faster backup - the bigger the backup, the bigger the time savings. PMRA uses ftp transfers in binary mode for more error-resistant file transfers, eliminating the gradual and subtle data corruption inherent in the original Netscape 4.x implementation of roaming access. PMRA can be used under linux, Win32, or any other platform with a Perl implementation. PMRA also requires access to an ftp server. PMRA .91 is released under the GPL 2.0. See GPL2.DOC for details edit
